During this Quarantine I have had so much fun exploring what else I can create. Using this opportunity I am creating patterns & textures and trying to sell them on a few websites.

Splash of Milk

Life gives us too much work sometimes. Here's a minimalistic and simple splash of milk to brighten your day. Pastel colours that softens the image and allows you to feel relaxed. I hope this little artwork can refresh your spirit just like how drinking a small carton of milk will let us feel refreshed. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Fish Lips

at first I wanted to draw this on paper with colour pencils but I didn't have all the necessary colours so I switched over to digital. making the lips look like goldfish wasn't my initial intention but I like how it came out in the end

Still Life Drawing with Food and Colours

During my school days I used to love going to the Art at lunch time. We really were able to create what ever we wanted. I used pain brush strokes, tracing paper and really explored.

Amaranthe

The amaranthus are commonly used as symbols of eternity/immortality due to its ability to retain its color for a long time after dying/cut off". I thought that this phenomenon represents "hope" more than the more common meaning of "devotion/undying love". Having hope keeps us alive during difficult periods where we are cut off from the things that typically motivates us, whether it be financial resources, loved ones, etc., and I tried to convey this by juxtaposing the vibrant colours of the flowers (symbolizing hope and life) with the grayscale tone of the statue (symbolizing death and brokenness).

Illuminated

Inspired by the Neo-Classical period, I pushed myself as an artist to portray subjects in an idealistic fashion combining drama and artificial lighting. The subject is my sister who modelled as a reference, enabling me to control the shadowy effect over her face. The dim lighting and dark background resonated with the period style, focusing on the facial parts that are visible. The end result looks like she is emerging from the darkness. A somber atmosphere is illustrated through visual expression. Adding the fast drying oil on the brushes improved the blending of the colours on the canvas which was especially useful when it came to applying strokes on the face smoothly. Watercolour Selfie

A bit on the rough side right now, since I'm just getting started (again) on watercolours. I've never painted this loosely before so this is a big step for me. Maybe I'll try a selfie again in a few months to see how I've progressed.
