Every year my uncle asks for hand-made gifts about his "awesomeness". I whipped up a quick homage to our family tradition of playing super complicated games that inevitably end up in rule debates and many beers/wine. :)
I've always loved drawing on various objects! This coffee-lid is from several years ago but I still love it and have it hanging on the bulletin board near my art desk.
(2B pencil on a 87mm x 139mm postcard) X-ray specs were an iconic mail order item in comics. It was one of the first things that kids bought that introduced them to the world of dubious adverts. I kept the image here simple, like the original advert.
A little explanation: in my native language, there's a separate word for gray hair. So I was playing with words a little here, hinting at his morality and also his hair color (she said he is "grey" rather than "gray-haired").
This is the front cover of my absolute most important nonfictional comic titled "The Hennqew", but only refers to the now discontinued 2/4/2025 version (which is still available on ComicFury.Com) That never means though that I'm scrapping all of the Hennqew completely though, because as of today, I'm currently working on a newer and more improved version of it that will hopefully turn out extremely great and good for me and literally every living being in existence. It'll still be a little while to work on and finish, but it will still happen eventually. I'm going to do a series of comics revolving around this character, Carlyle! She's such a an arrogant little diva, and I love her. I'm just doing this to test the waters and get used to writing comics. Not sure how serious I'm going to be with it, but hopefully I'll have fun along the way : )
