Another Star Wars fan art piece of my all time fav character from Star Wars. Which is telling how impactful his performance was considering he had very little screen time. we are talking just minutes in each film.
Friday night I sit at a lantern near the exit of the subway Wilmersdorferstraße. Next to me a pile of electric scooters, their taillights shining red, ready for rent. To the left, people go to the subway or come out, then the escalator starts, screeching
...initially was going to replace the spiders meal for a banana (referring to the piece #Comedian created by artist #Maurizio_Cattelan)...but just could not do it. Had some good conversation about the concept, so hope it leads to more.
Instead, it has lead me to explore some other ideas.

When I was a teen, my grandfather had alzheimers, a failing heart, and half of one lung. He was covered with scars and sometimes muttered at walls.
I was asked to keep an eye on him, briefly, one afternoon, while my grandmother did something else. While I was alone with him, he looked at an empty space right next to me, and whispered: "Mom? Dad? Is that you?"
With the exception of getting hit by a car, that was the most terrifying moment of my life.
Here's an ink illustration from my sketchbook. The only thing more terrifying than dying of the plague might be encountering a plague doctor. The type at the bottom says "A Black Sun Revolves Around You." It's been distorted and abstracted, but it's derived from letterforms.
So much noise presses in—
screens, engines, endless chatter.
But silence is not gone;
