Another pencil drawing from 2014. I had a long break from drawing and painting between 1994 and 2013. The arts teacher of my high school made me feel like shit and i decided to quit painting. At 36 years old I realized I missed it and started again by buying a set of pencils as a birthday gift to myself.
I spent christmas holidays 2015 inking a very small children's book as a present to my friend's kids. About 20 pages or so. Here the main character of the story is tuning the instrument owned by The Strange Animal, with help from The Whistling Compass. A terrible noise from The Magical Forest was disturbing the night sleep of a local king and the problem was solved thanks to our protagonists skills.
A lot of Dutch families who live in the centre have a bakfiets or cargo bike to transport everyone around. This is an old one that relies on peddle power but thank god for electric motors now. From my series Bikes of Amsterdam.
I spotted this Frankensteined bike out side a house in Haarlem (small town outside of Amsterdam) and have no idea how you would ride something like this safely but it was gone the next day so imagine someone did. The weather seems odd to be out and about outside and this woman keeps her balance courageously against the streams of cold, while her hat is covering her face only because of the stormy weather, she still seems to know what she is doing while she seems to be enjoying this! Another little story for today with another scenery!

These people understand nothing about art and are illegal hackers and they pretend to be offering employment possibly part of the same company that I mentioned earlier. Haha! no one replied to their offer! If they bother you too freely report them. They could be one here pretending to be artists and bullying people. Don’t give negativity a chance! Another illustration for today! I will tell you a little story. Once upon a time there was a very bad monstrous employer. They hacked all my emails. Trespassed human rights in every way. Shame none of them made it to be an artist! Haha! They held a grudge and spread it like jam everywhere! I shall make a picture book someday! This is not them by the way!
