Yay! It's my Birthday! (Toon Link Windwaker style!). Hard to believe I'm 35 already :o (Oct. 29, 1986). All the seminarians sang happy birthday to me in english when I got my morning coffee. heh. While watching "Alexandra Ehle" a new French series released on MHz Choice I noticed the character was using the app Tayasui Sketches on her iPad. Since I hadn't used the app for awhile today felt like the right time to dive into it again. This speedy painting is the result. Using a background I had created some time ago suggested a limited palette which helped the flow of the piece onto the screen.
The series stars Julie Depardieu.
A fierce,rebellious,individualistic,stoic demoness who is eventually exiled from her home in Alceridia by Qasaherim.she is found by Erik and the rest of the peasant teenagers lying down cold and disturbed all by herself with ripped clothes.she recovers but she vows to kill Qasaherim once she returns to her normal form and to hell.she faces everyday obstacles as a peasant while Qasaherim laughs at her misery.She can read minds,open black holes,change time,time travel (which can be painful) she does have a final form (alceridians don't have final forms unless they were gifted by their creators for a special reason)but it's abominable and inconceivable and it's 700ft tall Qasaherim has a form similar to hers too.
Yesterday my lovely friend had her birthday. I drew this for her as a gift. I absolutely enjoyed the camping trips we did together and i am looking forward to our next little adventure. :) wish you a wonderful day!
The last few days, I've been going through my drawing journals dating back to 1977, mainly to purge them, but also to reminiscence. I laughed at this comic- one of many that I had forgotten about- of a conversation with an artist friend I've known since 1984, when I went to visit in her pottery shop.
Eren was born and raised in the Shiganshina district located on the southern edge of the Maria Wall. He lived there until 845, when the Titans broke through the wall, leading the way for other Titans to invade and destroy the city. During the incident that day, Eren witnessed his mother being murdered by a laughing Titan. And this is the painting re-done (Posted original the other day). Original painting was done in 2006! I'm sorting through my art--what is worth a little more work--and what cannot be saved!!! This has been an emotionally challenging project. For one thing, in many of the paintings slated for re-do, I'm looking into my past.
I wanted to take snapshots of my day at the beach so I came up with the idea of doing story boards, little snippets of moments. Felt less pressure for perfection and created an atmosphere still.
