This happy pup is made with collage materials, pencils, watercolor and water-soluble pastel sticks on a cardboard twelve-pack container.

This week, I've been doing pencil drawings of dogs---usually while listening to the news on my computer. Cardigan Corgi, Bloodhound, and Borzoi (Russian Wolfhound). Various graphite pencils on Canson Sketch pad paper. Random on-line photos as reference.

Times goes by so fast when you're too invested of your phone...but I got my dogs (or cats), napping beside me. It's comfy.

These were drawn by hand without lifting the pen, then colored in Illustrator. Did I get your dog?

Another little practice run - drawings from my head with no sketching beforehand. A bit risky, but results can astonish.

Casey the Puppet. This painting captures the essence of a puppet lots of older Canadians will remember. A strange genderless creature with a dog puppet companion. A puppet with an outspoken personality that I remember as a kid wondering how it got away with saying what it did. The painting has a Canadian stamp to commemorate the puppet's roots.
