She have always anything which is it bad.

She have always anything which is it bad. "English as She is Spoke" is a delightful example of incompetence and bad judgement. Jose da Fonseca and Pedro Carolina set out to write a Portuguese-English phrasebook. The only problem was that they didn't speak any English. They did know some French and armed with French-English phrasebook, dictionaries and enthusiasm they brought forth this book. Mark Twain was an early admirer of this book. "Nobody can add to the absurdity of this book, nobody can imitate it successfully, nobody can hope to produce its fellow; it is perfect, it must and will stand alone: its immortality is secure." https://www.instagram.com/p/CJBWDgHhGSY/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Fevered Dreams
1/4

Seemingly trapped indoors and inside your head indefinitely, the possibility of living a normal life after COVID seems like a fevered dream. Still one of my favourite drawings from 2020 and a technique breakthrough. Ballpoint Pen on Archival 8.5" x 11" paper

Orange is the New Black - Poussey

One of my favourite series. I'm trying to strike the right balance between the abstract and the realism, and I think I try to do that through my use of colours. It's the most rewarding feeling when you use unexpected colours and they come together somehow! Acrylics, watercolour pens and posca markers.

A good catch.

Liked by johntmealy and meanwhileplaces's profile picture meanwhileplaces Superstition : Fishing. One of the strangest sea fishing superstitions says that if a fisherman and his wife have a quarrel and fight just before he goes to sea then he can expect a good catch. The argument though, must develop naturally, and not be staged deliberately, and if a man actually draws blood from his wife then he can expect an especially large haul. From "A DICTIONARY OF OMENS AND SUPERSTITIONS" by Philippa Waring

Ink Girl

This one was fun. I was using drawing ink on palette paper to paint this one. Then I dropped my palette paper ON my drawing. Instead of deciding I messed it up, I used the palette paper to 'finish' the background. :)
