draw

Playing with some experimental media while drawing from life with my students last spring. Gearing up for new sessions in a couple weeks.

Drawn on a napkin, but missed the submission deadline due to a mistake in timezone calculation...

I like to make dreamcatchers and sell them at the market, and mandalas are like drawn dreamcatchers.

This doodle is based off Norman Rockwell’s The Tattoo Artist and pairs with the blog I wrote about how I think our society needs to change the words we use to describe love. ❤️ “ Love is a collaborative work of art.” https://princess2dutchess.wordpress.com/2018/02/04/loneliness/

Part of the '1 drawing a day' challenge - drawn on 04/06/17

a cute sketch I did

A quick sketch from a few months ago, upgraded with a little paint.

Whimsical assortment of colors and doodles in a checkerboard pattern. Bordered in black and white boxes.

Nerded out at the Kennedy Space Center last summer. Here are a few of the sketches.

A few sprawling critters from my sketchbook...

This drawing is from the '1 drawing a day challenge'. My work usually incorporates my signature little bird.

Acrylic, pencil

Ink straight on Cardboard. More Graffiti-esque writing fun :)

All the elements were drawn by hand, with Prismacolor markers used to create what would be vastly contrasting tones after b/w conversion. The composition and b/w conversion were done in Adobe Photoshop. © 2016 Joe Blend. All rights reserved
