Another batch of sketches from my time in the album recording session earlier this week. Noodler’s ink blue loaded in my fountain pen, then applying a bit of water with a water brush. I like the bleeding that occurs.
Painting and drawing with my grandchildren today showing them how to allow a painting to emerge from a watercolour and plastic wrap background. This visiting Angel emerged.
Junicorn - so apparently there's a june art challenge like mermay, its called junicorn...this is my one and only entry, i dont like unicorns nearly as much as mermaids...lol

Hibernation time has definitely come to an end on this part of the globe. It is now time to eat the world and so this one decided to bring himself to life and cast some magick around. Drawings are a very powerful tool for that. This is the first bear that I have ever created on paper and I don't know much about why he came out like this but I'm sure that he knows very well all about that. He is the sigil and I trust his eyes

The only problem was that they didn't speak any English. They did know some French and armed with French-English phrasebook, dictionaries and enthusiasm they brought forth this phrasebook. Mark Twain was an early admirer of this book. These patterns are all made from drawings pulled from my 2017 sketchbook project. I studied fiber arts in grad school and learned how to do repeat patterns - the old fashioned way by cutting and taping paper together... I haven't done any in 25 years - until this month!
This is quite a ubiquitous scene, fresh garlands mainly of fragrant jasmine, marigold, rose and mango leaves, hang outside temples so the pious can buy them as offerings just as they enter.
