Queen Of Peace

Queen Of Peace.' Part of the proceeds of each sale will go to some good causes. On www.artpal.com/Toddjess This piece was created on drawing paper. 11x15. Acrylic paint. The message within the piece. Philippians 4:4-7 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Master Study of Kay Nielsens 1912 illustration from In Powder and Crinoline. Graphite. 11

"She stopped to speak to him, altering her mind, and went on her way." Trying to learn more about Kay Nielsen's style. He illustrated folk and fairy tales in the early 1900s for Grimm and Disney and others. I love his dark/moody style with everything so flowy, elongated, elegant, and tragic. And his amazing compositions.

Alamea

Forgot to collar her collar gold but I guess black looks good too.she is a very talented, kind hearted, generous blue ghost who is also the co owner of the snazzy bar.she is older than Al (40 years old) and develops feelings for him later on they remain best friends instead.I guess you can say he friend zoned her, despite Al not knowing what being friend zoned is.He does date Ottalie this however does not make Alamea jealous.

Baobab Tree at Sunrise

I gravitated towards the fony baobab, a real type of baobab. Sadly, all baobabs are in decline, which informed my composition. I used pastel earth tones and a lot of blacks. Digitally hand-drawn in Rebelle 6

Search-and-Find Illustration in progress (12h45m so far)

Something I’ve been working on for fun, a project from illustrator Victor Beuren’s Domestika class “Search-And-Find Illustration in Procreate”. One of the rare Singapore-inspired artworks I’ve done, and I don’t think I’ve ever drawn so many human beings in one piece… but challenge accepted!!!

Silhouettes practice. Gouache painting.

This year I'm discovering a new art medium - gouache. I'm going to paint more traditional art with gouache and watercolor. Recently I purchased a great Domestika Course by Ruth Wilshaw: "Painting Atmospheric Landscapes with Gouache." to learn and develop my painting skills. And here it's - the result of silhouettes practice. I'm so glad because it's a second attempt at gouache painting. I fell in love with this art medium!

Clouds

Other than being a New Year's resolution, it's been a goal for me to get better at working with acrylic paints and patience. So far I'm making progress and practicing as much as I can. I love mini canvas, they're so much fun.

Ruin of Darkness

Wanted a fantasy comp but with a unique color palette and a modern subject. I also wanted the foreground to appear as a very distinct layer hoping the landscape appears downhill to the viewer. I used Barad-dûr as inspiration for the castle ruins.
