This ring features a design element referred to as 'scrolling'. An intricate feature, scrolling is a common feature in antique Victorian rings. Scrolling is an excellent way to add embellishment and style to the shank of a ring.
...initially was going to replace the spiders meal for a banana (referring to the piece #Comedian created by artist #Maurizio_Cattelan)...but just could not do it. Had some good conversation about the concept, so hope it leads to more.
Instead, it has lead me to explore some other ideas.

When a ring is bezel set, the metal setting holding the gemstones in place lies close to the stone, creating a line of metal around the edge of the stone. Trilogy rings are any rings that prominently feature three gemstones. Sometimes the gemstones are a uniform size, and sometimes one stone - usually the central stone - is larger than the others.
⚡Flash Back Friday⚡ Going back to a blackbook doodle from a few years ago. Why am I showing you this? Because graffiti art is, and has been, one of my greatest influences (aside from M.C. Escher). It is an art form I love, and I gain much inspiration from the graffiti scene (legal and illegal). A close friend of mine predicted 2019 would be "The year of change", and she was right… at least up in my neck of the woods. Anyway, it has been full of good, fun and challenging things – all worth while. Excited to dive into 2020.
