The drawing contrasts what an individual see's and what the general public see's when viewing a particular topic. outside the frame of the glasses everything is plain black and white and has no important information that grabs your attention but inside the frame of the persons glasses there's a personalized idea or version of each person in the corridor. the drawing gives off the idea of seeing the world through another's eyes and using glasses as the medium to display that.
I finished it. I thought of this while listening to “Shadows of Mouldwood” from the “Ori and the Will of the Wisps” soundtrack. It’s a protector. Not the good kind. Don’t tell him about the kids that bully you, or the teacher that made you stay after school, or how your father beat you with his belt. When he asks you what you need, just tell him, very politely, you don’t need any help, and make sure you do it convincingly. Because he really wants to help.
I picked ‘S’ because some of my favourite things begin with this letter. Most importantly it’s the initial of my first and last name. Done with green acrylic paint, acrylic markers and alcohol based pens. My lucky Number 7, Seven, Shawshank redemption, Superman favourite films, Seventies decade I was born.

From Frozen 2, Bruni the Fire Spirit is a cute little dragon that brings joy and comfort when the world seems like a dark and gloomy place. This is a self-portrait. I didn't use a mirror or a picture here. This is what I look like in my own memories. It's a bit misleading, I think I am skinnier than the drawing suggests, but that doesn't feel like me. I have been overweight for years and I feel like I am too skinny at the moment. I feel like I should be curvier like in the drawing. This is about body-image, body-dysmorphia even. I do have those clothes, glasses and haircut. This work is pastel on paper (it's quite big, but I don't have a measure closeby)
