Concept idea for an upcoming canvas, but I’m not sure if it’ll stay like this. My days have had me wondering why certain problems exist, how we could solve them and how we can prevent in the future. This particular work will be focused on racism, and I’m very excited about the amount of research I want to do. I’ve been very angry and feeling powerless lately about this subject, and I’ll hope I’ll feel more useful after this project
Squirtle: no more no less. Actually more about it, my lighting is bad, aka the yellow tint. Also color picking is really hard, and i might have to do a bit more outlining to the piece to make it look cohesive. But overall the composition is balanced i think, even if i slacked off with the execution a bit towards the end

Hey everyone! This is an interactive website I did for my BFA thesis this year. The piece explores the struggles I’ve faced as a black, lesbian woman. This piece features events that happened when I was in an unhealthy relationship in high school, from late-2016 to mid-2017. The work combines CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML with digitized images that I drew on paper, using black colored pencil. I'd really appreciate some feedback and critique for this work. It's Christmas in July! The Third Joyful mystery: The Nativity, the Birth of Jesus. Jesus has his iconic Halo now and you can see the divine graces pouring out in the classic Iconic way, some deep theology drawn here. ^_^ Of course Saint Joseph is in deep contemplation, Mary is tucking Jesus in and even the animals are in wonder. :) Holy Family, pray for us.
I am Medusa. Once I was a beautiful woman. The god of the sea raped me and the virgin goddess punished me by turning me to half-animal. I found seclusion and solace at the edge of the world on mount Atlas where I lived among my kind. But the revenge of the righteous knows no pity so they sent one of their heros after me. The man killed me the half-woman to establish his glory and he took my head with him. Because in the world of the gods you are either animal or man, but nothing inbetween.

This picture represents that even in the darkest or messiest of times there is still a rainbow. The picture shows as someone is lost and waiting a rainbow still appears. As the path is broken, messed up and there seems to be no way out, there still is hope.
