So thankful for this experience that I shared with my class today. For the last 3 spring semesters, I’ve had the opportunity to take my KCAI Cultural Safari senior sketchbook class to draw from donor cadavers. Every year I am reminded of how amazing and intricate the human body is. I am also humbled by the generosity of the donors giving their remains to train young physicians. The conversations that result from these encounters always prove to be enlightening and inspirational. These are a few of my drawings I made.
I feel like my landscapes have very traditional colors so i tried to make these look bright and exaggerated but still hold the same base color. Let me know what you think.
Another watercolor I made from observation. This is a quiet place near my father's home, where I use to go with my friends when I was a child.
I am painting those in a 5x8 very convenient moleskin watercolor book. I previously eyeballed the dimensions of this book at 4x6 when I had no ruler to verify but I was slightly wrong. Now the info is exact. :)
I like to take my iPad out and experiment with no clear aim sometimes. Tonight's doodles led me to this glowing alien catlike creature. Used jingsketch's round render for most of it. If you think this is weird you should have seen the hippo. Enjoy!
Painted as my final project for my Painting Environments course. I was super nervous about tackling this one, but learned a ton taking this course. I'm happy to move on to the next one. :-)

I let the chickens and the roosters out to have their daily walk. I need to keep an eye on them, there might be foxes around. The raspberries had ripened, and needed to be collected before they rotted on the branch. The stork flew by, and sat on the roof of the abandoned house nearby. The storks live next-doors, quite lovely neighbors. He was watching the chickens with me.
There is a theory that Universe is a consciousness. To find what is out there we have to find what is in our own consciousness. So thats a zoomed in eye and the interstellar spaceship going in the space that exist within us.

Essentially what this "Secret Sketchbook" project is, is a sketchbook that I use for my Patreon, that I make doodles in for my patrons, then once I have enough pages, I make it into a zine! I'm currently in the process of getting the very first secret sketchbook printed now, and starting on the second one which will be more exclusive until it's complete!
In wanting to get active with my fellow doodler community, I wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name is Dalton Stark, I live in Texas, and i'm a doodle addict, and an advocate for the possibility of anything. For me, doodling is my purest state of being human. My sketchbooks are a very sacred place for me to practice this expressive and arcane form of imagination meditation, which I'm always trying to find more excuses to spend more time in. This was done for my first Scrawlr Box challenge. Which I was super excited to finally get to try, and I loved the supplies that were in the box. I am really happy with how this has turned out, it brings the two things I really like together; deer antlers and flowers.
