Done 2014 with pen and sharpie on `8.5x11 print paper. this drawing came about when i saw advertisement on back of the comicbook i just saw glimpse of it and drew whatever i remembered from my imagination . Abandoned drawing of Ellie wearing a black turtleneck. The lighting in the room was terrible and the black fabric hid a lot of the shadow detail of the folds and it frustrated me. That’s my excuse anyway… Model: Ellie.
This is a little collage (did you know Maxfield Parrish invented collage, not Picasso?) of a characters from one of my children's books. I wondered if this would inspire a book. Not yet.
I generally make marks on something every day, but I'm really TRYING to do it purposefully in one singular location (journal). Here is a successful attempt from that particular day. I'm also super lazy, which means I never go up to my actual studio and only use what's out on my computer desk.
Done mostly with oil bar, this is more akin to a sketch than a painting. It's great when you can get loose with the process and end up with something that looks like a finished work.
