Digital figure painting done in Adobe Photoshop. Learning how to paint skin, how can I push this further? I would appreciate any advice or feedback.

One of my first landscape experiments in Photoshop. Whereas I previously was working in GIMP. I just wanted to experiment with values and distance and fog and mist, etc. The female figure adds some story to the scene.
This painting/ drawing is started in the Abstract with forms created organically. I used Acrylics and applied them liberally as you might use in watercolor techniques. I love challenging myself to create in this form, as I do in finding the figures which may form themselves in the process. I then detail the figures in a drawing style to enhance and bring it forward. I've been getting questions about how I create my art here, so I figured I would upload some progress pieces. Here's the first one! I was listening to the Westworld season 2 soundtrack which always makes me want to draw Harvey (for some reason). I wasn't really practicing anything in particular, just doodling. It was fun to just let my hand wander, though I think the sketch was much better than the inking I did.
Very random mind drifting, in a surprisingly good mood today. No matter how much has changed, this figure never dissappears. It continues to be something outside my drawing abilities, appearing as a highly abstract entity.
I haven't posted for awhile. The only thing I seem to be able to do right now, besides boring traditional student work (does anyone really want to see endless figure studies? I think not) is this weird graphic Journal. It may be the only thing I do for awhile here.
I tried to work on my gesture drawing this meetup. The red marked are my favorite. I have tried to reduce the figure to just the flowing lines. It is very satisfying to draw like this
So I wanted to play with lights and shadows with this piece. (sorry I literally could not figure out how to set post it straight and I tried all I could think of, it didn's work out. Please if you have the same problem and you know how to solve it tell me, thank you).
