Folk art style.

This artwork started as a doodle. I love chaos & i love the freedom to meander endlessly w a pencil. However i also like 2 have a 'Conversation' w viewers. So to encourage this i often 'name' the doodle. Suddenly by defining the scribble it almost gives folks permission to comment & offer their perspective & input. Luckily i am not swayed either way w this conversation but i do love a forum for ideas & this usually turns into even more optimistic exercises allowing me to continue discovering the unknown & undrawn. Quite frankly i am lucky since i can draw & create any reality i choose... for me the visual possibilities r truly endless. Yep, Eternity is the limit.

Whenever i hear the word 'graphic' on the news, my mind goes to art rather than the abrupt visual they feel needs a warning [Which i guess is a courtesy for some folks who just might not be able to handle such a site & prefer to look away.] Well, luckily, I'm not Pollyanna about this... As a creative, it is nearly impossible to hear that word 'graphic' & not flex my creative muscle & treat it w an alternative visual thot... 24/6! [I take Sundays off.] I was never fortunate enuf to attend college or to study graphic arts. But I actually think that this is a skill & craft of immense talent. To create aesthetic colors & shapes & beauty & what seems like using the most simplistic of techniques yet w the greatest of impact is simply mesmerizing to me. Why that color? Why that shape? & yet... it works!!!! So here is my attempt to simulate such a masterful profession but w a bit of humor.

A while back, I jumped into a global property deal, saying folks like me could cash in on hot foreign housing scenes. Real estate - sure, everyone knows it prints money, a big-time industry worldwide. It looked solid at first - they showed me online walkthroughs of places I partly owned, got me pumped. Still, there was this weird vibe nagging me, hard to explain, just wouldn’t quit bugging me inside. I ignored it though, brushed it off, kept going anyway. One thing I’d say now? Listen to that inner voice - every single time. I kept picturing the steady cash coming in, which blurred how clearly I saw things. At first, they paid me consistent returns, making it feel legit. Over time, though, I poured more money into it. Before long, I tried pulling out bigger amounts - but then the payouts just vanished. The reasons they gave shifted every week, and not long after, they began asking for added charges to fix the withdrawal issues. Still, I’d spent every dollar - put everything I owned into it, thinking it’d be okay. When things went south, I panicked, then remembered a name: {DIGITAL LIGHT SOLUTION}. Found them through some random post while scrolling late at night. Honestly? Didn’t believe they’d help, but they jumped on it fast, scanning stuff I didn't even know existed. Right away, knew these folks weren’t messing around. Used hidden clues online, tracked down where the cash got moved, then fought to pull it all back into my hands. Crafted after folkloric saying in Terry Pratchett's "I Shall Wear Midnight". It evokes the beautiful movement of the wild hare, gracefully jumping into the bare flames yet not being burnt.

The Watermelon Folk is an Acrylic painting on canvas measuring 61 x 61 cm. It is an intuitive painting. I practice Raja Yoga Meditation .which is an open eye meditation; so while I am painting I am in a meditative state. What appears on the canvas is straight from my inner being. If I like what appears I will let it live but if I don't like it , then it needs to go, and I will paint over it. My paintings go through many lives before they are complete.
