Beyoncé is an amazing entertainer and such a loud and powerful voice in not just music, but activism. Her new visual album for her album The Gift is called Black is King. I highly recommend it.
Fairly recently I was "commissioned" to paint a picture of my cousin and grandmother. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but painting this was a bit of a challenge. There were definitely moments where I stopped painting and completely hated how it looked/became frustrated with myself, and I wouldn't work on it for days. I felt an odd pressure attached to making this... or maybe I'm crazy. 16x20, acrylic.

Blue-gray Gnatcatchers (Polioptila caerulea) are a very small songbirds and are most frequently encountered in pinyon-juniper habitat but can be found in any low-elevation areas with an abundance of shrubs. All Done! I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but a few of the proportions are way off... but oh well. And I absolutely suck at manes(hair) soooo ya. This painting was made with gouache on cardboard 400 gr / m² with a height of 32 cm and a width of 24 cm.
Lead pencils F,B-B7, kneatable- ,normal-, pencil eraser, paper stomps, tissue on A3 bamboo fibre rag paper. Choose to draw her bald, for no particular reason. Zoom in for full detail. Photographed in the sunlight with the canon 28 mm f/1.8 prime lens. Photoshop for greysteps contrast-boost and cropping. Like if you dare. Or else post some critique. Just some try to imagine Christina bald. Realistic? Still doodling? Her eyes are like dominating the whole draw... kind of unreal, isn´t it?
