I love creating work that starts from a point in nature and develops into something more abstract, something that can be interpreted in many different ways. It’s interesting to hear what people see, what connection to their own life they bring when viewing a work.

Or maybe you don't even want to tell them. But you still feel so many strong emotions about it, or maybe you don't feel anything. Another attempt at utilizing varied line density. I think it came out better than the previous attempt, since the lines aren't too thick. I didn't really know what to do with this one, so it kind of feels bland as a result.

This is a scene that I drew from the movie Jeepers Creepers. I originally was not fond of this drawing and found it too childish but now I find it quite charming.
A few years ago this little guy showed up. He started appearing in my doodles as encouragement. Always defending, never judging. He is the side of my brain that tells me everything is going to be OK. He builds me up, which is why I named him Buil.

It's a mess, right? Not particularly beautiful or impressive. That is what self-hatred is like. Easy to achieve. Not great to look at. Very common. And very, very hard. My dad has been out of the picture for a while, but I still have a lot of feelings and trauma left over from him. I wanted to represent what being gaslit, felt like to me.
