My pen sensitivity has gone on my pen tablet. I think I need to get a new one. In the meantime though, it has been interesting experimenting with the different types of art I can create without the sensitivity, such as these flat characters.
Vent art! Not sure what else to say about this. It's almost my birthday, at the time of writing. It'll be on November 13th. I probably won't post that day, but we'll see.
I’m coming out of another one of those periods where I’ve drew or doodled very little (all the other projects on the go until now!), but as always I got my mojo back in the nick of time, it seems. :)
Same old stuff here for now!
It's the young little St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows! This is who our Brother Gabriel takes his name after. The book is the Passion, he is a Passionist after all. :P Some qoutes: “Our perfection does not consist of doing extraordinary things but to do the ordinary well” “With sin, O Jesus, I gave you the death, but I do not despair of your forgiveness. Those scourges call me, those arms extended invite me, that injured Heart offers me a secure shelter.” “. . . fidelity in little things must be the basic rule in striving for holiness,” St. Gabriel, pray for us! #Catholic, #Christian, #Gabriel, #Saint, #Passion, #Passionists, #Littleness, #Cartoon
I start this just doing random doodling at upper black part and because it looks quite nice i start to search reference from my phone. Found one shot month ago at beach with dramatic clouds
Toot your own damn trumpet!
I will toot Carson Ellis' trumpet here. Her books are magical. If you have a child and have not read Du iz Tak? you are in for a treat! In the Half Room is another one of my favorites.

I'm hungry for some CHEESE!!! I hope this piece of cheese brightens your day. It's my greatest piece of cheese yet! lol #Cheese, #Stinky, #Yummy, #Hungry, #Cute
An old sketch of St. Christopher I did that I just penned in and colored today. ^_^ Very simple and it's very tiny but kinda cute huh? (It's not even as big as my thumb) :P #Catholic, #Christopher, #St.Christopher, #Jesus, #ChildJesus
BIC ballpoint stick pen drawing on Richeson bulk drawing paper. This started as a contour drawing and just got squiggly (not the original intent). This was clipped to my board for weeks and I would add a few squiggles from time to time when I wanted to make marks, but didn't have inspiration. It's just a bit under 15 inches (12x18 inch paper) and is probably about 25 hours of making little lines and squiggles. The reference was a Dreamstime royalty-free photo.
