While "piggy-backing" at a friend's watercolor class this afternoon the subject of mushrooms came up. This is my quick rendering of a mushroom in Procreate on my first gen iPad using my Sensu stylus. Shadows will be addressed in next week's class but unfortunately I will be gone. I definitely need more practice with shadows.
Situational awareness is important these days. Pre-pandemic, I sometimes take my doodles to coffee shops during my lunch breaks and relax for half an hour or so by mindlessly scribbling/shading with my Bic pen. People usually leave me alone but this drawing made me realise that not everyone wants to see a man drawing a naked man. A few people took exception to my subjects’ lack of clothing and made their displeasure known by telling me. This is a drawing of Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I wanted to make him doing the marble trick, but I couldn't get the hand to look right. Also, you might notice all of my art is fan art. That's because I like to draw people but I am horrible at coming up with my own characters. That's all :)
So this is the ~Finished Product~ of that one Linh drawing, and I took it with my phone so it's not as bad quality. Looking back now, I could have done so much better, but it is what it is. Besides, I've practiced and gotten so much better, and I'm proud of myself for that!! :)
To be honest, wasn’t too happy with how this turned out but it’s just practice. I know I’ve got to draw like a thousand more noses to really get something decent lol. If you have any tips on how I could get better, let me know!
The DODOSAURUS lived during the late Triassic period when dinosaurs ruled the earth with the average brain size of a peanut. This peaceful carnivore spent most its time roaming the desert lands of what is now South America hunting mice and various rodents. It wasn't until the reptile was discovered by early prehistoric humans that this majestic creature became a valuable and easily hunted food source until it was eventually hunted to extinction. ☠☠☠

Another Korra fanart I did in 2014. The artwork is quite messy because it was more of a quick doodle rather than a proper drawing. And there are some anatomy "bugs" that I didn't fix. Anyways, I hope Korra fans can enjoy this piece. Really wanted to convey her character through the colors, face expression and pose. I hope I managed, even if a tiny bit. (Deviantart had taken this drawing down back in 2014 because I didn't put some nudity/NSFW flags, but I wonder how do I put these flags on this website? Hmmmm?)
