Nitescape. The mysterious going city across the great ocean, far away from Nornwan and far forgotten, but they have not forgotten. They still have hints of the old world in their dome of cyber charged pessimism. Back in May, I wanted to do the #mermaychallenge, an online event where artists draw and share their mermaid illustrations during the entire month of May. But I knew I had limited time, with everything happening that month (buying new home/moving/fixing up the old home to sell), and a fulltime job. I created Mer-Kat, a hybrid kitten/mermaid. I felt this was such a fun new character to explore. Life underwater with a feline-based personality.
These are the results from a request to create a piece based on a fathers son's nicknames. The older brother is the moon, second the bear, third the bird. Added the stars as the parents.
His first request was of a tattoo of sorts ...but I struggled and my drawings kept turning into children illustrations. I so enjoyed the challenge and it gave me an opportunity to honor the love of family. At the same time, it was hard to associate them into a tattoo:) .
The (i think) 12th and final butterfly for the Literal Butterflies Project. Wow! thats a lotta flutterflies. This one was certainly tedious with such elaborate markings, she wasn't easy! ... That said, none of them were. With such beauty, and intricate wing pattern and design, butterflies are a very difficult subject to work with. But somehow we managed to get through all 12 with some of my hair left! Loved every step of this journey :)

For this one I was really stuck because there are so many ways to draw the word Path because path has different meanings to it . But I ultimately decided to draw a Stone path after some inspiration on Pintrest
