I wanted to try a drawing that uses a monochromatic color palette. I found the process to be very enjoyable. It can feel limiting at times, working with only one color of varying shades. Specifically when choosing the amount of shades you're working with. It's also a nice alternative when I can't think of a color scheme that uses different colors.
Another attempt at utilizing varied line density. I think it came out better than the previous attempt, since the lines aren't too thick. I didn't really know what to do with this one, so it kind of feels bland as a result.
Ink, watercolor markers, paper. 2023. Sometimes I need to let myself create from my unconscious and not stick to some planned approach. The markers were a gift from my children and I really have been enjoying them!

I saw a video about how people think they can’t draw and how people actually can draw, so I decided to follow along with it. I drew this cool Albert Einstein cartoon but instead following it exactly I added my own little twist.
Life is full of difficulties and hurdle. A mixed bag of happy and sad days. But when it comes to measuring them, we tend to weigh them towards the difficult ones more forgetting or avoiding the happy ones. This illustration is a composition to share how small or short life is to worry about tough times. Instead we can focus on being positive and happy and live every moment fully
When I shared some work that looked like this, the response I got was, it was trippy. And instantly I thought, what a cool series to create! Thus the Acid series was born. This piece, Triflic Acid CF3SO3H is the fourth of five from that series.
