This is a graphite pencil drawing of a conch shell I found on the beach in Florida. I used this sketch as a base for a intaglio print I made. The sketch features the cool textures and forms of the shell in a harsh contrasting light.
Done 2016 with color pencils on 9x12 bristol paper. I did this at my job about 80% and finished it at home. At the office job I was by myself and not much job to do at the company , so one day I decided to bring my art materials and start drawing and this came about after i looked at some creepy doll on internet , which urge to draw scary stuff. Wow it's been 10 days already I'm very much impressed with myself for keeping this up. I had an American dad marathon and saw a butterfly in one of the episodes and the drawing prompt I've been using said to draw a snowglobe so i combined the two together.

I generally make marks on something every day, but I'm really TRYING to do it purposefully in one singular location (journal). Here is a successful attempt from that particular day. I'm also super lazy, which means I never go up to my actual studio and only use what's out on my computer desk.
