A birthday present for my cousin, Alexis. I asked someone what she was into for this. "She likes hello kitty, the utah mountains, sharks, leopard print, and flowers." This one was a challenge to come up with.

Back in May, I wanted to do the #mermaychallenge, an online event where artists draw and share their mermaid illustrations during the entire month of May. But I knew I had limited time, with everything happening that month (buying new home/moving/fixing up the old home to sell), and a fulltime job. I created Mer-Kat, a hybrid kitten/mermaid. I felt this was such a fun new character to explore. Life underwater with a feline-based personality.
This drawing was a bit difficult to finish because my kitty was determined to lay his head on anything that was remotely stealing attention away from him. Luckily I finished it when he wasn't looking. (= ♡ ฅ(=ʘⰙʘ=)
The prompt word toward the end of October- ominous. Ravens are known to bring ominous news! Although that may be influenced from Game of Thrones (I miss that show!), 'Dark wings, dark words", as Old Nan used to say! I only drew Kitty, not the background. Don't ask why I'm so obsessed with DDLC... I do other things too, but DDLC is the main thing that I draw (Especially since I try to base my style off of the Doki Doki art). This didn't turn out as well as some of my other drawings because it's a bit smaller... Ignore those feet, I don't usually draw feet, so I don't have any practice... Anyway, if you have any suggestions or feedback, please let me know! :)
