I redrew Betty Cooper because she is fun to draw & I want to include her in a new, revamped version of my six fanarts I did last time (which I was disappointed with)Im almost done with drawing her & other characters too(this time i am going to include a particular character from the beloved Disney cartoon Recess,can you guess who? This time last year I was in the midst of starting off my (then) new sketchbook... And what do I find myself doing tonight? Sticking to the same script with yet another one, that’s what!

Four quick self-portraits, also show-casing my quarantine haircut. I did them yesterday as a part of Leith of School of Art’s Wake up and Draw challenge. The instructions were to do Van Gogh style drawings using the short very lively lines he is renowned for. The main image was 15 minutes on A3, the other three 5 mins each on A4. The images are in ascending order, so the first one should be at the bottom and the last one as the featured image.

Men fall victim to domestic violence as well. ManKind organised a fundraiser last night for victims of domestic violence in Scotland with over 30 models striking short poses. This includes the ones towards the end. Brush pen on A3.

Just got inspired by a photo I took last year :)

Carrots from the Marin Agricultural Institute Bounty Box I signed up for so that I can get out for a good bike ride once a week. I used to get my weekly ride in going to the art studio. This needs more darks, but time and energy have seriously been low this last week.

This is a drawing of the ocean. It shows all the different zones of the ocean. It also shows animals that live in those zones. At the top is the sunlight zone. Next is the twilight zone. After that is the midnight zone. The last is the abyssal zone.

Last year’s remake

My husband got me two new fountain pens and a sample of inks from Goulet pens about a month before the pandemic. I think those ink samples got me through the last 7 weeks of lockdown in an already dreary winter.

I remember that I was angry when I drew this fella last year all because I wanted to stay home before new years so it could be vent art i guess?not certain why I even wrote dreaded when it was supposed to be "damn prince"oh well

Last week I bought a tulip to and decided to make it the subject of my painting.

A steam titan from the elder age, long forgotten. But this mammoth of gears and levers has not fogotten it's purpose. It delves through stone, and rock and mineral and earth. It hasn't stopped since the master's last order. The very nature of this machine is loyalty itself. Sometimes the scavengers follow it, picking up the remains it leaves behind in its search. What is it searching for? The center of the Earth? Nirvana? Hell for us ? Many a strange thing lay in the world of Nornwan. Was it always so? Mayhaps... A moody, very busy day. I did an ink wash of the beach today, but I'm posting the last piece I drew in the studio instead. I miss the studio and friends there.

I began the #oneweek100people challenge and after the first couple of days we were all asked to stay indoors.

So thankful for this experience that I shared with my class today. For the last 3 spring semesters, I’ve had the opportunity to take my KCAI Cultural Safari senior sketchbook class to draw from donor cadavers. Every year I am reminded of how amazing and intricate the human body is. I am also humbled by the generosity of the donors giving their remains to train young physicians. The conversations that result from these encounters always prove to be enlightening and inspirational. These are a few of my drawings I made.

Inspired by the weather of the last couple of days.

It has been a while since my last upload, and also since my last finished thing. My studies aren’t giving me much free time at the moment. But here‘s a little practice for painting digital using Procreate on the iPad. I’m still not statisfied with it, but I keep practicing. Thank you for looking at my trial!!! :-)
