Hii there!:) In the last few weeks i noticed, that sometimes when i started drawing there where insecurities that came up. Like: it is not good enough etc. Then I reminded myself that everyone can have that feeling when it comes to creating something that is important to them. Maybe when somebody writes a new song or edits a video they made etc. So I started drawing Talun. There is alot of aspects he is proud of and others that he feels insecure about. He reminds me, that it is natural to have some doubts or just insecurities. Talun wishes you a wonderful day! And of course, me too!

Before social hijinks earlier last night, more ideas needed to explode onto paper...

Day 18: I have been using an old-style safety razor for about a year now. Changed the blade for the first time and, yowzah, I got cocky with that dull blade.

It has been a while since my last upload, and also since my last finished thing. My studies aren’t giving me much free time at the moment. But here‘s a little practice for painting digital using Procreate on the iPad. I’m still not statisfied with it, but I keep practicing. Thank you for looking at my trial!!! :-)

A bit of art therapy from this time last week after an overheated and, at times, shit-tacular day at work = the best kind of therapy.

Since Killer whales is about to be exterminated, I gave a whale some wings. Now he can fly away to a better place without pollution and plastic from human beings. Well, sad but true. Its on us. At least I can give it some attention here. The whale is now on my Society6 page.

And that wraps up February, at last!

I keep coming back to this Vice headline I saw and took a screenshot of this time last week, which inspired the title of this piece. Seems like a relevant metaphor to me (and others I know) for so many reasons right now! Thankfully nothing too traumatic in my case...

Here are some figure drawing images from last year that I think turned out well. These are all quickish poses, 20 mins max.

I figured it'd be a while until I draw (in full detail) ALL of the Altitone band members, so I made each one a sprite. Their names are (from left to right): (The first one is a base), Elizabeth the hot pink cat, Preistor the sky blue rabbit, Altor the golden bear, Bruce the green mouse, Lexibo the violet elephant, Mary the short red fox, Dexter the blue-gray Racoon DJ, and the three cheerleaders: Rosette the crimson mouse, Oopsie the russet fox, and Pastelle the cotton candy short-eared rabbit. On the very bottom are the instruments. In order, they are Elizabeth's mic, Preistor's guitar, Altor's drum set, Bruce's mic, Lexibo's piano, Mary's oil drum (not an instrument, but Mary hides her bottom half in the oil drum, sort of like Looney Bird from The Rock-afire Explosion (which is why she has no legs)), and Dexter's DJ board. The last three are cheerleaders, and their hands have been replaced with cheerleading pom poms. On stage left, we have Dexter and Mary. On the center stage, we have Preistor, Altor, Lexibo, Elizabeth, and Bruce. On stage right is Rosette, Oopsie, and Pastelle. Made with Piskel. One last drawing before 2021 draws to a close... There may come a day when I don’t get inspiration from Wings Of Desire, but today’s not one of them (tomorrow’s not looking good either), hehehe. Happy new year when it comes my friends!

you step carefully around the purple flowers blooming sporadically across the forest floor. it is very late at night, and you know that you shouldn't be wandering this uncharted planet on your own at this mysterious hour. but something in the trees beckons you subconsciously. as you begin to clamor up steep, untread areas of the landscape, you discard you burdens--a first aid kit, your water, all the suddenly unnecessary contents of your pack. something primitive roars inside of you. your pace increases; you now feel the shear closeness of whatever you are chasing so starkly. your feet and hands slip as you grasp onto the trunks of trees and throw your feet ahead of you with such purpose. at last, you arrive at a clearing--and there she is. and she is like nothing you have ever seen before. she is not human, far from it, but your passion for her claws at every inch of your insides. she is not like any creature that has walked earth or neptune. she is something entirely different, and you have fallen in love with that--with her.

I've finally redrawn my profile picture! Except, my actual profile picture will be magenta instead of blue. This design still isn't canon, but I haven't found the motivation to redraw the entirety of the Ringmaster's crew. My last attempt was with the advanced version of Elizabeth, and the unfinhed Preistor, but they take so long to make --- and that's why Preistor goes unfinished. The reason they take so long is because I also sculpt the endo inside of them, in which the 2.5 versions didn't have an endo, and the joints and such were put in after I had drawn ths shell. Weirdly enough, I never used to feel bothered by winter. A sign I’m “getting on a bit” as they say? I’m 32 come April, not 102 for feck’s sake! Whatever the case, roll on spring and general warmth, long overdue I have to say…

I’m no stranger to weird dreams, and last night’s one was no exception to the rule. The doodle alone may do things *some* form of justice...

Well, technically. There's two who look extremely similar: the last one I colored is Aldrich, too, but all the others are Ulrich. If... I've even done Ulrich before.

Last year, I got a new menace to my home decor, a kitten named El Sushi Panda Von Wombathaus. Sushi when I need to yell at it, that is a lot. I actually haven't attempted the christmas tree last year because of his Attila-like kitten energy and I'm honestly wondering if I should try this year too

"Retro 1" is a quick freehand drawing I created last year. Size of the original is 9" x 12". I used Posca pens on archival paper. Limited edition prints are available. To many I know a hibiscus flower might represent endless tropical summers. Up north where I live, hibiscus is the often the last flower to bloom while fall is setting in. While vibrant, I wanted it to feel lonely as seasonal changes are very introspective times in my life.

Upon reflection, it seems last weekend proved good for the creative juices!
