Used Clip Studio to draw my new Orc Barbarian, Ama'Ra. I'm still learning how to utilize different parts of clip studio, and for this I tried using a 3D pre-posed model.
Luisa was my favorite character in this beautiful, fun Disney animation. I drew this in Adobe Fresco in about 6 hours. Still learning the program and testing brushes. Be sure to check out the time-lapse of the drawing on my Instagram. Cheers!
This was my very first attempt at the grid. I restarted drawing about October or November of 2020. I was watching something on YouTube and a video came up about a street artist who uses the grid method when scaling up their artwork for the sides of buildings. It got me thinking ... and drawing ... and learning. Its so much fun to watch something slowly come to life from the paper. This was done in a sketchbook. After that I went and got a 9 x 12 inch Strathmore drawing pad - series 300. I have researched paper and I found a great deal on the Strathmore Series 500 roll. 40 inches (or something) by 8 yards! I can't wait to see how the projects improve when the quality of the paper increases. I am currently working on a gift for a friend. Its a drawing of their baby in a little piggy outfit. Unfortunately - I won't post it because its a picture of someone's baby ( I don't have permission - yet) ... but I am super happy with it so far!
Just started learning to draw eyes. Was wondering if I could get some tips for anime manga style which I could later try to animate with. Plus how are my names and if you can think of better ones pls tell me thx.
I graduated from school with a degree in Bachelor of Science is what my teachers told me is a good enough degree to get hired in the art world but I don't know what in the art world I want to do. It took me six-years to get a four-year degree and eight years after graduating from high-school to figure out what I want to do with my life. I want to be a freelance artist creating my own work and doing commissions for others but even with my degree the level that I am at now is not good enough to sell neither am I at the level I want to be at. So.... I am taking the rest of my twenties to get at that level starting at ground zero and learning the basics from this website I found www.drawabox.com. This image is one of the exercises I'm doing. I have seen some amazing artists here and would love to learn from all of you so if you have any feedback on my work or would like to have a conversation between artists please don't hesitate to send me a message. I did this artwork for a public art exhibition called "Home is where the Art is". Initially the drawing was supposed to just be a open mouth with a snake coming out of it but I felt that it lacked a story and a strong enough message so I drew the other snakes on and added the 2 other faces. The story behind this image is entirely up to the viewer but my take on it was that different people react differently to certain information, my main focus was the distribution of secrets and since many teenager refer to people that let their secrets loose as snakes I thought why not depict it in that form. The drawing displays three reactions to learning another's secret, one passes the secret on to another, the other defends it ferociously in your face but lets it slip loose when nobodies looking and the other receives the information and holds onto it
I was experimenting with new brushes here, and also learning to draw eyes in different styles. I struggled a lot with the nose in this painting, because it was hard to figure out proportions without the rest of the face. Feedback always welcome!
DoodleSchmoodlez 29th Nov. = I love going thru old sketch pads 'n splash watercolor on 'em. Reminds me of e like the last 15 mins of my youngest daughter's swimming lessons - the kidz'd just chill out... think it's sooo important to have fun when learning / cre8ing.

Learning to Leap is a shout out to anyone who needs a little courage to make that final leap. We've all been there, and we can all use a little whimsical inspiration in our lives.
I haven't posted on a while but here's more digital art! I think I shaped the eyes wrong so now they just look sad but hey, I'm learning! I didn't have time to give details to the hair since I was focused on the face, but I like the shape of it. What do you think? Let me know if you have any suggestions to improve this, thanks!
I finally got my first drawing tablet and this is my very first drawing I did!it was really fun but slightly complex considering I use to draw with my phone.im still learning so much in order to become proficient in drawing (I took inspiration from a stuffed monster ball toy my friend's little sister has)
Yesterday's challenge from my son: different versions of Batman meeting. I did this on my iPad, which I'm still learning to use for art. I don't like my figure work on the iPad as much as I do on paper, but it does make coloring easier. I'd welcome advice on using an IPad for sketching.
Something with many meanings. Symbolizing, starting from the bottom, birth, trials and learning, dark times then to enlightenment which is when someone gets to the end of their lessons of their life.
Even though I went to art school, I’ve never stopped continuously learning. This sketch was a study on value in sketching. Book was borrowed from a local library.
