Support Is on The Way

Medium : Pen and Ink on Bristol Board Size : 11" x 15" Year completed : 1987 This rendering is part of a collection of illustrations entitled " The Army Years." This rendering remind me of a ride I took on A Army National Guard helicopter, while I was serving in the Air Force- Civil Air Patrol. We were helping them to figure out the safest, and fastest, flight paths between hospitals, for when a patient needs to be air lifted from one hospital to another. I got to rider in one of the sides compartments of the craft, with the side door open ( of course I was strapped in to my seat ) the craft at one point flew with my side parole to the grown, as it made a couple of sharp turn, real fun ride. I served in the Civil Air Patrol for 4 year, one of the benefits, was a lot of flying time. I Severed in the United States Army fore 9 years, 4 years National Guard, and 4 years Regular Army. While in the military , I was a anti tank toe missile crewman, Combat Engineer , and a Field Medic. I served during The Panama War, Desert Shield/ Desert Storm, Police action in Somalia. This picture is entitled " Support Is on The Way." because any field soldier know that helicopter are the main transport vehicle for delivering, supplies, mail, equipment, moving troops back and forth, from the rear to the battlefield. Hi Carrot!

Ok, this will be tough to explain but, here goes: Blind Specter the Ghost goes into a random human man's body and lies to his red-hair Girlfriend that this is how he looked when he was alive/in mortal form (fact: he was never a human) She ends up believing him! (why they're naked? eh, because I was lazy to draw their cloths ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) Once again, I drew this in MS Paint with Mouse.

Her Gift

Medium : Pen and Ink size : 11'' x 15'' Bristol Board Date : 1993 This study of a piano was done for a woman who was a missionary with her husband. They served in a Christian ministry that reached out to military personal and their families, through the teaching of the Holy Bible and showing hospitality. They have been missionaries most of their lives. I met them while i was a summer missionary the year I was in college. I went back two more summer to help , and they became my friends. The woman is a gifted piano player, so I was asked if i could do an illustration of her piano for her. This couple have inspired me through their dedication of using their lives to serve God through serving others, that many may know God through the teaching, and living out the Word before others.

I’m trying my best but I know it’s not enough

People have thrown terrible words at me, but since then I’ve grown. They don’t affect me anymore but they did. I want everyone else out there, who suffers from bullies or hate in anyway to know; you are good enough, and you are beautiful. There are people who do love you, even if you’re not sure.

Girl with Butterfly

It’s one of my OC’s (her name is Annie, short for Anabella). She has heterochromia, meaning she has 2 colored eyes, and I tried to match the butterflies with the color of the eye on the opposite side. The angle is supposed to be from above, with her laying down, and her hair spread out.

Amoreena {March 2021}
1/4

I genuinely can't believe it's already March (I also can't believe it'll be a year since the pandemic really started). Yesterday also marked one year since I started journaling, which isn't an actual major thing, but still. How quickly time flies and how big of a difference a year can make. "And when it rains, the rain falls down Washing out the cattle town But she's quite safe up far away in her eiderdown And she dreams of crystal streams Of days gone by when we would lean Laughing, fit to burst, on each other."

Camellia

Whimsical portrait. NO REFERENCE for the face. Reference for the flower “Camellia”. Watercolor. I jave used cheap paper and cheap supplies for years. It has come to my attention that using better quality products produces better results. Well, stay tuned I’m hoping to make even better works!

Im okaaay

have you ever seen the part in a bug's life where he flies into the wall, shows a thumbs up and says "I'm okaaay". that's how I imagine saying the title of this image. I added some bruises and stuff so I didn't have to explain to my younger sisters that I was referring to an emotional state of mind

Logo for a medical supplies company

The logo is for a medical supplies company. I hope you like it. The name of the company is written in English and Arabic at the same time. You can read it from left to right in English, and from right to left in Arabic. I will leave it to you to guess the name of the company. Besides, I also hope that you can find the word in Arabic. I am so excited to see your comments.

Party in the frogs mouth

Frog, moon and stars! Another one inspired by @moonchildillustrations and her #moontoberweekends prompt, this one combines two of them. Fortunately, I had to search for really cute pictures of frogs with their mouths open. By the way, what kind of music do you think the flies are dancing to? : .

Florasona: Character design

This was a really fun piece I did a while back for the Florasona challenge that was going around. I used a few different plants as inspiration. Ashwood blossoms/berries, calla lilies, tulips and morning glories.

Shopping Spree

Ta-da! Finally done! This was inspired by my annual back to school shopping trip in August with my mom, my siblings, and my grandma. The sign is a bit of a clue to that, the heart is similar for he logo of one of my favorite stores (until they closed last month), and the tan thing in the corner reminds me of the dusty playground we stop at between stores. The hair clip, butterflies, and purple corner (it's really a hair extension) are all from my favorite accessory store. The railing is for the walkway between stores and I don't really have to explain the shirt, skirt, pants, and shopping bag. No trip is complete without a bucket of pretzels to eat on the way home! Anyway, I hope you like my art!

Namaste Pond

Taking this pic was challenging finding the right light for the moon and the stars pop up more imo and my frog was hard to color but I love how the lake came out with the shines from the moon and fireflies. I even took the time to paint some tall grass and reeds in the background ^^ hope you like!
