I was challenged to choose 10 music albums that defined my musical buds and I decided to draw them, so here we are. First one is Unplugged by Nirvana, one of the most important albums in my life.

I started this with the Doodle Addicts Pre/post quarantine diptych drawing challenge in mind, but I didn't make the deadline (I started it on the day of the deadline, so it was a little ambitious!). The first half of the drawing represents before the corona virus and the second half is after the virus and kind of living with it. No pencil, just straight into the drawing with ink. It's rough, but I like how it turned out and there are some fun characters.
Life gives us too much work sometimes. Here's a minimalistic and simple splash of milk to brighten your day. Pastel colours that softens the image and allows you to feel relaxed. I hope this little artwork can refresh your spirit just like how drinking a small carton of milk will let us feel refreshed.

The last six months in my life after breaking up with my partner of two years in November. Mixed media on A3. This is also my entry for the Diptych competition.
During my school days I used to love going to the Art at lunch time. We really were able to create what ever we wanted. I used pain brush strokes, tracing paper and really explored.

Hand drawn repeat pattern design, I used ink and then pencil crayon on top. The idea was to create a realistic scene of what life was like for me in the 80's - as opposed to cutesy images of children playing with puppies etc.
Doodled this after my husband died of cancer. It's not only about embracing loneliness. It's about embracing all areas of my life which I have considered dark and not user friendly. Faber Castel black pen and a scribble of purple
This image illustrates a Chinese fairy-tale from the 6th Century. Girl Weaver neglects her heavenly duties to spend her life on earth with the Goat Herd, this invokes the wrath of her family who force them to live apart. They are brought together for one day a year when a flock of tender-hearted magpies form a bridge to reunite them. This legend is still celebrated in China on the 7th night of the 7th month with a summer festival full of symbolism for newly-wed couples.
