Gregory Porter = blissful stuff to draw to.

Went a little hard on myself while Journaling tonight. Surprised that Wrecks stepped in to distract me

"When the teachers asked me to play something, I would pretend that I was reading it and play from memory. I didn't fool them, but I didn't care." - Vangelis (1943 - 2022).

Kirby and Sonic met their pals as I was working away tonight!

Working on a commission for a friend

Thoughts of my cousin’s memorial weekend, among other things, informed this piece… also, ‘lystenning’ is a beautiful word, eh?

At a friend's house watching football today. Asked Lindsey for a prompt. She said our friend's dog in her jersey.

I found an old sketchbook. One of my favorites. I'm hoping to digitize this soon.

Travelling whales.

New character I'm working on

King Gizzard flavoured and inspired goblin sharks to kickstart September :-)

What a handsome little ghost

A large piece I did for a show in Kansas City coming up.

Autumnal narwhals! Also, Kirby’s made a pal…

Buil wanted in on the action

Peony flowers from my garden earlier this year. Bartzella Itoh peony. A bit heavy-handed in my opinion, but I still like the outcome.

Weird things, that I come up with. This is just some of the stuff, I have doodled and/or done. I really love Ancient Egyptian mythology and was testing out my gold and silver paint pen. Sadly the pens both ran out of paint. :(

When I'm struggling to come up with a drawing, Lindsey draws me a starting point. It's a great exercise and so much fun.

Whales and witches.

Pokemon fever!

We all fight our own demons but we don't have to do it alone. This is a thumbnail for a comic I'm working on.

Part of a personal project I'm working on right now, to experiment with new art styles and practice lettering skills by drawing animals. The color palette and symmetrical motifs in this one were inspired by the boats on Lake Xochimilco in Mexico, which is the last remaining place wild axolotls live.
