Into the Pond

The little lady wants to go into the pond. Getting a bit damp is not a trouble. The trouble settles on the dark cat, who is getting rather interested with the butterfly. (Spoiler alert: of course, the little lady fell...)

The painting Dieu Thuyen was completed by me on June 27, 2021.

This picture was drawn by me with Pentool SAI software on my computer, the picture designed by me from the cameraman is the beautiful female character Dieu Thuyen sipping a glass of wine while waiting for her father to return from a victorious war. Dieu Thuyen is one of the most talented beauties I have ever known, so in the photo I added an oval lute and used pink as the main color for the embellishment. giving Dieu Thuyen a proud beauty. The pictures I draw and create are posted here for all to see and for me to judge, this photo is my own drawing will be protected under section 512(c) of the Millennium Copyright Act . the digital age (“DMCA”). Up There

White and sanguine conte pencils on toned paper. These ruins captured my drawing itch with the quality of the light filtering brilliantly through the tangled growth outside, and the open shade within. At a metaphorical level, the image is about the sense of having a laborious path set in stone for me by custom, convention, and culture, while way is wide open to the chaotic fertility of nature, should I choose to follow my own feet and heart.

Formula 3
1/3

This is an old Formula 3 race car built by Joseph Potts ltd, Lanarkshire, in 1952. They have it in the National Museum of Scotland, where I drew this a couple of weeks ago as a part of Urban Sketchers meetup (as it’s too cold to go outside yet). This is pretty mixed media: pencil, watercolour pencil, white gouache and some acrylic markers. Drawn on spot.

Moon, bear, and bird

These are the results from a request to create a piece based on a fathers son's nicknames. The older brother is the moon, second the bear, third the bird. Added the stars as the parents. His first request was of a tattoo of sorts ...but I struggled and my drawings kept turning into children illustrations. I so enjoyed the challenge and it gave me an opportunity to honor the love of family. At the same time, it was hard to associate them into a tattoo:) .
