Hello everyone and happy new year 2025, it's almost time to say goodbye to 2024 and say hello to the one coming. I love making my artistic summaries of 2024 and happy to everyone.
This striking black and white ink drawing personifies Time as a dark entity surrounded by flying souls. So this was merely a color practice with different brushes. I used marker, airbrush and paint. The hair is paint, the face, shirt, bow tie and shading was all used with marker. The airbrush was for the shiny effect on his bow tie. I have no rhyme or reason for this image, it was just something I created in my sketch book. I just needed to draw something to play around with.
Inspired by the Irworobong design (korean palace folding screen) during my Korea trip. Since I made the trip in spring, with flowers abundant, I thought to use the five mountain peaks as five petals to form a flower.
I would like to not care about the pain, allow it to pass and let it flow without fighting it, which is perhaps the only way to let it go. Then I will understand that if I give myself trust, I will be able to remember and I will feel in my heart how many lights I found every time I felt lost.
I have not drew these kinda characters for a while when 2020 hit. I was a big mlp fan when I was little, but then stopped during 2020 when I got interested in something else like drawing furry characters (like purp kit etc.). But yeah, here it is! anyways, I'll be drawing sum more characters like this sometime :)
