I keep coming back to this Vice headline I saw and took a screenshot of this time last week, which inspired the title of this piece. Seems like a relevant metaphor to me (and others I know) for so many reasons right now! Thankfully nothing too traumatic in my case...

I'm hoping to finish off this children's book this year. It's a lot of work. Too many illustrations - so many the printing cost will jump, so I might have to find a publisher for this one, rather than self-publish. This is acrylic on paper.

He has always been there for me and helped me, and often tells me dates that turn out to be accurate for something that ends up coming along or manifesting. Hey everyone! This is an interactive website I did for my BFA thesis this year. The piece explores the struggles I’ve faced as a black, lesbian woman. This piece features events that happened when I was in an unhealthy relationship in high school, from late-2016 to mid-2017. The work combines CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML with digitized images that I drew on paper, using black colored pencil. I'd really appreciate some feedback and critique for this work. In the style of Lucien Freud, this little painting didn't take long, but was fun and an accurate representation of the model. Plus size models are often just as interesting as many of the thinner models we got in drawing sessions. Beauty exists for different people in different ways. Character is certainly a big aspect.

Sometimes we see ourselves in a labirinth in which it's hard to make just one choice among many others and how it can affect our future. It's like going to the supermartket and seeing so many products of the same type and either you pick the same old or you just stare at them not knowing which one is the best and you waist your time reading the composition of each one to choose the one that suits you better.
The implementation of the project for the Akademos kindergarten in Poznań has ended. The idea behind the project was to create a jungle staircase in which children will be able to cover something new every day while walking down the corridor. Many animals, reptiles and insects are hidden in the thicket of plants. So that the number of details and small elements does not overwhelm the space, we used a black and white combination with small colorful accents, which are also to stimulate the imagination of children. Realistically painted birds are an additional decorative element, which can be a background for photo sessions.
I love to come up with these mindless but interesting hard surface shapes and technical stuff. It has a meditative effect on me like drawing mandalas ^^ Inspiration comes from Tsutomu Nihei again.
