Inktober2018day14. Clock. I love time. I hate time. It goes too fast and there’s never enough of it. If I had more of it, I would be able to post every day for inktober. I wasn't going to participate this year, but after 4 or 5 days in, I figured if I did a very simple line drawing, like I started doing with the little box chicken character I could make every remaining day, but I just couldn't stop myself from going all out on some pieces. It's like I always want to add more. So maybe it’s going to be quality not quantity for me this year. Please enjoy.
When Rebelle 3 by Escape Motions came out I wanted to create something that really shows off its power. I normally draw in fountain pen first, but this was created entirely from scratch in Rebelle 3.
Digital art tends to be cold and impersonal, but Rebelle's watercolor simulation looks & feels like real paint... and you can undo! That's critical for illustration work, as clients often request changes... But even for personal work- it means an artist can achieve a watercolor look without being at the mercy of the medium. So the result is more true to his or her vision.
I'm uploading the two pages backwards so when they are all uploaded you can see them left to right. But this is page two. I worked on this at at training the other day, training days make for great art doodle days. If you want to see more I do have a tumblr account.

I’ve been getting more and more into vocaloid as of recently, so I thought I’d do a lil fanart sorta as a token of appreciation for it existing :3. If any of you guys have listened to any vocaloid music, what’s your favorite song? Who’s your fav vocaloid?
I have dragged this typewriter around for more than 50 years. I found it in an antique store when I was in college. It's still fully useable, except that it's REALLY hard to find ribbons. Basically, it's just another object to dust. But it is a beautifully made object. The basic shapes and perspective were blocked in with a 2H pencil, then I used a Sakura 005 micron pen to do the contour drawing.

More practice. So difficult to get over that learning hump lol. I feel like I am riding my bike up a hill and I'm struggling lol. However, I REALLY want to learn this art form.
Now a name change would be great since I still haven't changed her name at all (I mean she was my first OC I thought of when I was 12) Hate the wings since basic demon wings don't suit her or black angel wings (I will keep drawing her wings differently)she wears a long tunic like top similar to a blazer,she wears trousers instead of tights and her fingers are covered (all alceridians have covered hands)and white boots.I hate how she's easier to draw as a person than as a Alceridian maybe because I rarely draw her in her true form.Redesigning characters can certainly be time consuming,I might draw her more better soon.
So here is the fanart I promised. Gonna try doing more of this however I am gonna take a break from digital drawing for a small bit. Not saying I won’t. Just saying a bit less digital drawing. Nova is from the renegades trilogy and is a fantastic character. Marissa Meyer does best. I thought I wouldn’t face head on because I got inspired from some other artists doing poses so I thought it would be cool!
I genuinely can't believe it's already March (I also can't believe it'll be a year since the pandemic really started). Yesterday also marked one year since I started journaling, which isn't an actual major thing, but still. How quickly time flies and how big of a difference a year can make. This is more of a test than anything, but I thought this would be go a good one to test uploading with. I basically just created this character from my head. If you're interested in the materials I used, I created it with a basic watercolor set using a wet on wet technique for the background, A sharpie outline, and the color on the character was created by using Prismacolor colored pencils.

Today was the end of first semester, a bit hard to believe half the year is gone, a bit hard to believe we still have half of a year left. The past 24 hours have been nothing less than mental chaos (maybe my coach was foreshadowing all of this when he asked if I was ok last night...) Anyway, here I am, here we are. Over a year ago, I finished my Robin Williams portrait, and I decided I wanted to create a series of different black and white portraits. So far, this is the happiest I've been with a piece in a while. There's no expectation, there's no real pressure on this, it's me falling in love with painting again. I've only been working on this for a week, so there isn't a ton of progress. I suppose I'll reveal who the person is later once more progress is made but for now, enjoy.
Often times my work is more about a conversation with my anxieties. I have a deep, conflicting relationship with concepts of existentialism. The following works reflect abstract ideas that I simply don’t have words for.
