This doodle depicts a transitional phase in my college years. Illustrating one of my favourite rappers, drinks, snacks and one of the iconic buildings in London; this doodle is full of colours varying in throughout the page and popping out with contrast.
My notes and demos from yesterday's watercolor sketching workshop at #waltdisneyfeatureanimation. We were talking about quickly blocking in people from life in natural situations. #watercolor #watercolorpainting #pleinair #illustration #disney #disneystud
My role was to serve my people as a tactician.
My name was my rank. I had a soul.
But magic awakened within me, and my role changed.
My mind — trained and carved for purpouse — ceased to matter.
Reduced to a beast, they stripped away my soul and bound me in chains.
Is this the wisdom of the Qun?..

"It's fascinating. Hornets are one of the apex insects, but their nests only last a season
before they fall apart because the whole colony died. Just like a heart."
I liked her so much I drew her again, but I learned some things about her. (Damn those hands, gotta work on them.) Concept art
Name: Carina
Age: ???
Race: Demon (Father is a demon, mother human)
Ethnicity: Her mother was a young Italian woman who was tricked into falling in love with a demon.
Status: Sorceress
Abilities: She wields a staff that consumes souls of the living. She uses those souls to feed her power.
Extra (for now): The globe on her staff is an ancient artifact in which she had to prove her will and strength to achieve it. The artifact draws out the souls of her victims. But before it does, it puts them in a trance like state to keep them immobilized.
More animal themed ideas. I used a sea otter as a base for this particular ecosystem. There are all kinds of creatures and little treats hidden within. : ) Artwork by Janelle Dimmett. www.janelledimmett.com
I made a Floral Deer Skull with some mushrooms. I didn't really have a plan when I made this, so it kind of progressed on a whim. Not a bad way really. Anyway, I used mixed media on this one. A combination of pen and ink and procreate. Artwork by Janelle Dimmett. www.janelledimmett.com
