“Gregarium Song”, July 2026.

Today I’m tackling the elusive Tully Monster as a drawing subject! “It might be either a wormy type thing or a molluscy-like thing but for the most part, comprehensive taxonomies placed the monster in the animal kingdom untethered to any particular phylum, making it essentially unclassifiable. The perplexing nature of these fossils earned them the parochial nickname ‘Tully Monster’.”

A Hazel Dormouse

This delicate digital illustration captures the quiet charm of a hazel dormouse, portrayed with soft textures and warm, natural tones. Every fine hair and subtle contour has been carefully rendered, bringing a lifelike sense of warmth and vulnerability to this enchanting woodland mammal. The dormouse’s glossy, expressive eyes and gentle posture invite the viewer into its secretive world, hidden among hedgerows and ancient woodlands. Created using digital drawing apps, this piece blends realism with a tender, almost storybook quality — a celebration of one of Britain’s most beloved yet rarely seen native species.

I am a horse - page one

Page one of my first ever comic! And my first ever horse. It's called "I am a horse." A little explanation: in my native language, there's a separate word for gray hair. So I was playing with words a little here, hinting at his morality and also his hair color (she said he is "grey" rather than "gray-haired"). This is directly related to my fanfic "One last time."

Critically Endangered The White-headed Vulture

Drawn with Clip Studio Paint and XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro pen display tablet. Critically Endangered The White-headed Vulture has undergone catastrophic declines in population number, with an estimate median decline in 96% over three generations (45 years) This decline has been seen in its very large range from West Africa, across to southern Africa also. Reductions in populations of medium-sized mammals and wild ungulates, as well as habitat conversion throughout its range best explain the current decline. Additional threats include indirect poisoning at baits set to kill jackals in small-stock farming areas. This species is also recorded in trade in West and Central Africa as this species is used for both traditional medicines and also they are intentionally killed for use in witchcraft. This species is part of the Accipitridae bird family, which diverged from all other species of bird 49.6 million years ago during the Paleogene period. Vultures split from the other genera in this family 12.7 million years ago. This species is highly sensitive to land-use and is concentrated to protected areas. Individuals were marked with patagial (wing) tags in Fouta Djallon vulture sanctuary to monitor movements and for a toxicological assessment of the vulture population of the park. Additional studies to monitor the movements of individuals within and between protected areas in underway is South Africa. Female Pied Flycatcher

A Female Pied Flycatcher Ficedula Hypoleuca… The Pied Flycatcher is a summer migrant to the UK. As the name suggests, it feeds on flies that are caught by making a quick dash from an obvious perch. There are around 40,000 pairs in the UK each summer. The Pied Flycatcher is a small unmistakable bird that often sits with drooped wings. It spends its winter in Africa. Identification: Adult Adult males and females share the same plumage pattern but are different colours. Male Pied Flycatchers are small and chunky,13cm in length and are black and white all over, they are quite unmistakable. The upperparts are black and white, tail is black with white base to outer tail feathers, rump is a slightly paler, back is jet black, wings are black with white wing patch (tertials) The nape and head is black except for small white patch above the black bill. Chin and throat white, extending to form a half collar. The entire underparts are white, ie; chin, throat, breast, belly and undertail coverts. Legs, bill and eye black. Females are brown versions of the male although tail is dark, no obvious white patch over the bill and the collar is less distinct. #piedflycatcher #brd #birdart #birdartist #birdsketch #birddrawing #bampidraws #birdlovers
