This 11" x 14" bold, dynamic, geometric abstract makes a unique statement. Lines and curves, angles and shapes in stark black and white convey the arbitrary, yet methodical . . . random, yet systematic nature of the universe . . . and our lives.
These patterns are all made from drawings pulled from my 2017 sketchbook project. I studied fiber arts in grad school and learned how to do repeat patterns - the old fashioned way by cutting and taping paper together... I haven't done any in 25 years - until this month!
This was my submission to the recent Mother Nature doodle challenge held here. Mixed media using traditional watercolor and digital line art/embellishments. It is now available on Society6 as a print, stationery, and a variety of phone cases.
This was a bit difficult prompt. I dont want to draw just brick of wall or similar. So i choose to use photo where my wife is with ”brick” of ice as reference
Morning warmup sketch/doodle with Krita. I seem to have a thing for wood nymphs exploring nature.....or maybe I have a thing for naked people in the woods? Who knows.
