NIghtly BIC ballpoint pen doodles while watching the news. These are drawn on light weight construction paper. The reference drawings are from the book Humans of NY.
It finally was nice out again today so I dressed up in my new Adidas gear that I haven't gotten to wear much yet and took a 2 mile walk. Decided I looked cute enough to doodle a selfie.
I realized lately that I need to practice more instead of focussing too much on new ideas. So I started with face-practicing since I enjoy that the most. Thank you very much for looking at my drawing!
Adobe just released a new drawing and painting app Fresco for the iPad. Here are few experimental images. I have to say I am impressed with the natural media brushes and the interface.
had to paint light through trees in watercolor. The pattern on the chair was a pain in the butt, but I think it came out ok. Winsor & Newton professional watercolors on Blick premier cold press 140lb watercolor block. This is the first time I've used Blick Watercolor paper. It held up well, but the painting came out kind of light (not sure if the paper had anything to do with that, though). At any rate, I bought a bunch of it, so I guess that's what I'm using!

The traditional shopping list includes meat, vegetables, fruits, candies and nuts are popular items which are later seen on the dinning or coffee table of every Chinese household during the Lunar New Year
I've started a new sketch book (one of many, lol), which I am dedicating to ink drawings only. No pencils, no watercolours, just pen and ink :) I drew this doodle today with a Uniball pen and a light ink wash for the space sky. No reference, totally made up. Mistakes and all! Tada! An art piece of @xavtheidiot 's character, Zane! Hope you like it! I did the cheeks in my own kind of style, as well as the hair. Hope you don't mind. Kept her in the original outfit, too. The reason it took so long is because I am both plagued with school and an ongoing existential crisis.
