More sketching from observation out at a truck stop deep in South Florida

This was a sketch from observation from the stairwell of a building Inused to have a studio in

Another fun commission project. This one was of a popular Book store and restaurant in Miami Beach called Books & Books

I kind of love what I do for a living: client wants a sketch of a specific restaurant, I hang out and sketch and eat!

I frequented this movie theater when I was a kid. It no longer exists! #nostalgia Ballpoint pen on Bristol board

I've started a series in my sketchbook...actually, it's a series inside of a series. The series started as an idea I called "The Hidden Octopus". It's an Instagram account where I post quirky little ideas I draw with my Sharpie and the watercolor it to make it pretty. Then I thought I'd start a series inside of that where I do Song Lyrics that I really like. This is one of the first in that series.

This is old (2007). I used to work at the ad agency that had the Harley-Davidson account for a number of years. I always carry around a Moleskine sketchbook and take meeting notes on one side while doodling on the page next to it. This doodle ended up being used extensively in the Harley-Davidson "Dark Custom" campaign as well as on a line of Dark Custom Motorclothes. It say's "FUCK YEAH" in it and they never noticed. :)
