I recently discovered oil pastels and am being amazed every day at how versatile they are. While cleaning my desk this morning I found some blank ATCs (Artist trading cards, 2.5x3.5") and wondered if I could work small with such a bulky medium. Turns out, absolutely yes.

Requested by 8 year old space enthusiast. Pastel pencil on dark blue pastel paper.

Graphite drawing in a Moleskine notebook - illustration for Grimm's fairy tale. I'm posting both the raw graphite version and the one I painted in Photoshop b/c I never know which I end up liking better!

Rough and smudgy. Kind of how I feel. I got frustrated and just put a bunch of pastels on paper. It's not pretty but it's pretty close to being an authentic look inside myself.

Really enjoying experimenting with soft pastels. This piece was the first time I used Pastelmat. It's an amazing surface to use with pastels as it takes loads of pastel, the colour stays vibrant, and there's minimal dust
