Just wanted to go back to my old school pencils for a quick sketch

I've been exploring these great coloured pencils, Lyra Polycolor, ans I'm loving it! They are buttery and so vivid on my moleskine sketchbook. These drawings are inspired by the trending tattoo designs. I'm thinking of creating some for an old tattoo cover-up too..

at first I wanted to draw this on paper with colour pencils but I didn't have all the necessary colours so I switched over to digital. making the lips look like goldfish wasn't my initial intention but I like how it came out in the end

Loved creating a realistic sketch after a long time. Loved the process of creating this sketch.

Giraffe drawn on Daler Rowney artists paper with arteza professional coloured pencils. First practice with these pencils and they’re great to use.

Tools: Derwent graphite pencils ; Paper size: A3 I drew based on a photo but differed the original picture. Made as an exercise.

This was Emma Thompson in one of my favourite films, Stranger Than Fiction - she is brilliant! I used just colouring pencils in this one to try out a soft, harmonious look, on the background of blue A4 card. I quite like the relationship between the foreground and background in this piece; had the background been white, I don't think it would have worked as well.

I practiced the colors with these watercolor pencils. I realized I didn't have enough color. Size: A/4 , Tools: white gel pen, "Faber-Castell Colour GRIP" watercolor pencils, watercolor paper
