A fairly special one for me this week, as today’s post is inspired by what would have been the time of Beltane celebrations. As it is, we celebrated at home in our own little ways, and in the case of myself indulging in my usual habits! Drinking and of course drawing, the usual stuff...
I've been gone from this site for too long, but it's because I've been making environmental posters! This one is to raise awareness against weedkillers. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Round-Up and many others, is now considered a probable cancer-causing agent, so let's not use it! There's an equally effective recipe at the bottom of the poster.

The prompt word toward the end of October- ominous. Ravens are known to bring ominous news! Although that may be influenced from Game of Thrones (I miss that show!), 'Dark wings, dark words", as Old Nan used to say! Watercolour and the tiniest bit of coloured pencil and acrylic marker on watercolour paper. Size A4. Done with negative painting technique. This was inspired by a figure found in a Kinder egg from my daughter. It seems to be common sense these days to scan and fix your artwork digitally before posting it on any social media. I don't do that. I kind of like the little (or bigger) imperfections in my work, and I also believe that uploading traditional work that has been digitally fixed gives people the idea that such perfect pictures can be achieved in a traditional way.
I have not posted or been on in a while, we had a bit of a rough time lately and so I have not had time to be on here or draw a lot. Here is fanart I did a very long time ago. I hope you all are doing better then I am! :)
This is one of my patriotic environmental posters. Protecting the environment in any way is a patriotic act because it safeguards the quality and beauty of the land we live on.
I was feeling listless about this inktober until I picked up Daily Rituals : How artists work by Mason Currey. I immediately knew that I want to do these portraits for the inktober.

If you are doing Inktober, is there a specific time that you post your drawings I post when i remember to post but I try to do it before night comes.
I drew Entrapta A) because she is cute and one of my favorite characters and B) .... because I don’t know I was watching She-Ra and love her so much? Okay anyway here we are. Not great at drawing full body so I left it like that. Might add more another time and repost.
I don't usually post my instagram art here, but, why not? I actually did this for a #DTIYS challenge of my own. I felt a melancholy mood approaching along with the cooler nights and fallen leaves around my neighborhood.
