Per last week's weekly digital artshare prompt, I designed a character that I thought my friend, annya-yl (https://www.deviantart.com/annya-yl/gallery/all) might design.
I don't often do the prompts and, when I do, I generally finish them late. They don't always speak to me, but this one did. The ideas are not original, but I'm pretty sure I came up with this maxim last year as a way of encouraging myself.
I joined an app called sketchaday. They give you one prompt a day. Our prompt for today was new and decided to create my own twist to new lipstick. I had so much fun drawing and coloring this!
I asked my husband (who is our Covid-period grocery shopper as I am high risk) to bring home a fruit to draw. He came home with a dragon fruit. For those who don't know this interesting edible, it's from a cactus. There are two species: the Asian species is white inside, the Central American variety is shocking pink (see photo). Great in smoothies or when nicely ripe (as this one was) it's tasty eaten out of the skin with a spoon.
The prompt word toward the end of October- ominous. Ravens are known to bring ominous news! Although that may be influenced from Game of Thrones (I miss that show!), 'Dark wings, dark words", as Old Nan used to say! Where is buddy hiding? The Inktober prompt word here was 'hide' and it was fun to illustrate kitty looking for buddy, although I realized I made kitty really large! Check out the rest of my completed Inktober posts on IG: @dittofunkysketch123 :D
I just got started on Huevember today. I couldn't find the prompt list for this year, so I'm creating my own prompt list. This is my first year doing Huevember.

A piece that coincidently fits the prompt for InkTober Day 27: music. An anxiety notebook doodle based on a song that I cut up out of frustration. It ended up looking better, in my opinion, now that it's rearranged.
