So I'm a little behind the curve, but here's my day 1 for Inktober. This was my first time using my fountain pen for drawing, so I can't complain too much. There's definitely some room to grow. Lined with a TWSBI Eco: fine nib with Organics Studio Walden ink on Tomoe River paper. I'm a sucker for sheen, what can I say. The sad attempt at shading was done with a wet paper towel, so I'm guessing I could try upgrading my technique there ;D
Bic4 Ballpoint Pen, Sanrio Novelty 10 Colour Ballpoint Pen on Archival 8.5" x 11" paper.
Inspired by Charles Dana Gibson’s “Woman: The Eternal Question” (supposedly a drawing of his muse Evelyn Nesbit). I’ve always loved Gibson’s loose, graphical penwork. Working hard to be more ‘loose’ with my pen drawings.
Model: Meadhbh (Maeve)
I'm continuing my lax inktober with entry 04 radio and 05 blade.
This is my take on Alastor from hazbin hotel. I don't usually do fanart but I've been enjoying the characters in this world too much not to draw them. These were drawn with Pen and alcohol markers
Inktober Day 4: Radio. A quick paint/doodle while talking with a good friend. Today was decent. Hoping for a better week this time around. "From the end of the world to your town."
A drawing that turned out better than I expected. Two hour seated pose.
Pencil, Charcoal Pencil, Pastel Pencils on some weird pad of paper I found in my closet.
A Cloud, a Tree, a Star. Illustration of St. Brendan (Naomh Breandain in Irish) for Tolkien's poem, Imram (https://englewoodreview.org/poem-the-death-of-st-brendan-j-r-r-tolkien/).
This was a commission for a Magic The Gathering Goblin token. A goblin riding a squirrel, wielding a spoon and wearing a bucket for a helmet. He may or may not actually be dunk in a tavern getting a bit too into a story he is telling.
