I did this one in India ink and colored it with Winsor & Newton drawing inks. I love the vibrance and transparency of illustration inks, but don't use them too often because the colors are fugitive

I captured an amazing spurr of the moment shot of a grey crane standing by a pond in one of my favorite parks. This year I decided to make a painting of the image.
Another transitional one from 2017 in the size of 18" x 24". Looking back, this work starts showing me some glimpses. Abstracts do have an impersonal quality to it. Since it is not grounded with our everyday familiar objects or people, not knowing the visual language would be hard to understand the merits. I guess that is why I fell back to semi figurative.
This is a fan art of Todoroki Shouto from my hero academia. I've been doing a series of fanart on the animé characters semi realistically but I've been going back to a more "anime-ish" style so I figured why not ? Ehe, anyway, I hope you'll like it !
Haven't posted for a while, I've been crazy busy but also feeling pretty flat to be honest so I've been drawing weird little floppy cats to cheer myself up a bit. Today one of them made it onto the back of my drawing board. Acrylic paint and sharpie markers :)
