I travelled around Uzbekistan for two weeks during easter. It is definitely one of the most interesting and beautiful countries I have travelled in. These are some of the urban sketches from my travel sketchbook, of some of the most famous buildings in the different cities of Uzbekistan. I would LOVE to hear what you guys think.
The observational sketch was done in ink. One of my few urban sketches. The grandeur of the entire cathedral was too large for me to capture in my drawing but here's a little of what I did.
I started keeping a Route 66 Journal when I traveled from Chicago to Albuquerque. I keep adding to it all along and hope to go from Albuquerque to LA this fall.
This is the converted school bus that belonged to Route 66 super sketcher Bob Waldmire (RIP). It's here at our museum, so I sketched it one day. It's an amazing studio/home on wheels!!
I went to Florida and kept a chronicle of my adventures! This is part 1 of 3, in which my husband comes down with Lyme disease and I go to Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom. When I read the first book of the "Outlander"-Series by Diana Gabaldon, I was really inspired by the idea of travelling in time through places like Stonhenge. This is what it looks like in my head.

Coyote - Of The Wilds was a talented writer, author of many fantastic stories which he never managed to finish.
He was able to convey true, deep emotion through words, through many unfinished stories. Now, through the ending of the Story.
These stories have contributed a lot to my life in 2020, as I wrote about in “Split Of… Personality”. Like for many others, he inspired me to create. I wrote “Split Of Fate”, deleted it, now I'm bringing it back to life, but I also have other plans - regarding the stories of Of The Wilds… but more on that later…
This was difficult to draw. Difficult without getting eyes wet.
