My husband got me the Copic 24 color manga illustrator set for Christmas. I wanted to draw a magical girl, but didn’t want to do a traditional one. So I thought of a sporty girl who hates dresses turning into a magical girl.
A far cry from how I usually draw. The lineart is messy and I colored sloppily, with the watercolor brush. This guy is the first out of three paint moster generations --- yes, this guy is made of white paint. The mahogany lines aren't blood, but rather mahogany paint. I got to drop into an outdoor class with my beloved teacher from the studio. A space had finally opened up two weeks before everything in SF shut down again. Well, it was good to see her and my fellow students and be in that setting on a beautiful sunny day. I was also negotiating my next job salary and getting phone calls during class, so I wasn't entirely present. The class topic for the day was palm trees. This is in front of the De Young, another place I was so glad to have visited indoors on another afternoon before the latest lock down.

For mine, I had to draw a monster called a "niter" based off of his description:
"Niters communicate in whispers. Nocturnal. Shy away from light. They’re black and oily and emanate a bluish glow. Large, looming 6 foot shadow things with massive hind legs, clawed for climbing trees and they have ‘maws’ instead of arms, claw-like appendages they stab people with and only one gaping blue eye. Their mouths open up and they swallow their victims whole."
What's funny is that I didn't see the fact that they emanate a bluish glow until now. So, the glow from the eye is purely by coincidence. Figuring out the hind legs of this creature was difficult, and so I sought reference images, and of all things, the koala turned out to be a pretty good reference.
For a while, there, it was looking like Carnage from Spiderman, but I toned down the reddish-hue a bit. The intention was to give the appearance of motor oil.
So, now to find out how badly I failed at drawing this...
This art trade was fun, though, and I would do a similar one, again. But I am le tired.
Version 1 of the Altitone band member, Preistor. His color scheme went from blue (from the prototype vesion) to red (this version, version 1) to blue again (version 2 and onwards). Once again, this guy has been left to rot in a storage unit, somewhere in Jester's workshop. Another note, Jester's workshop is actually quite large, with several hallways, and open spaces. This oil painting was , for me, an explosion of a new freedom I found after finally getting a home nearly 40 years ago, a room with a sink and a bed and a window. I hadn't painted for years, and never without extreme self-consciousness. But years of homelessness changed me and my appreciation of "art". That freedom eludes me these days, that 'ignorant' notion that I can do whatever comes to me. I'd love to get it back. Surely it's in us all. It may be better to paint to be satisfied than to paint to satisfy...

My first Pokémon related post! I actually love Pokémon, and I've played every generation but the third one. I've beaten ORAS, SM, USUM, Sheild, RGBY, and GSC. I also love glitches (especially in the first generation), and that's why I made this. It was taken from an old story I made a while ago, when I made my own evil team, and stuff. Spotted these two squirrels while out walking during spring 2018. The highly entertaining pair were exceptionally easy to photograph. NOTE: I'm working on how to make a better digital image of my artwork. Will get there--sorry for the gray background.
I've already made stylized Jester, so I figured I'd make stylized Dellusion, too. This one is a full body. I did a full body because I need to develop more as an artist, and part of that is to start drawing things I'm not entirely sure of. Like, legs, or perspective, like how his claw is bigger than the rest of his body because it is closer to the viewpoint. I had a lot of fun with this, though, and I hardly ever draw something so exaggerated. Anyways, Dellusion is a private vessel for a specific soul, who works alongside Jester. They both run the pizzaria, but Dellusion is more of the co-owner. Only Jester and Dellusion are sentient, because they're both sort of possesed. Drawn with FireAlpaca.
Soluto is Princess Neera Veera's archnemesis,just like how Qasaherim is Elvarelyn's archnemesis.He is a fire demon warlord who has an army of his own to destroy anything and anyone on his path mostly weaker demons since he cannot fight stronger,more dangerous demons because that would result in not only his armys elimination but his.He is not terrifying,vile or deadly like a lot of demon warlords because 1.he be defeated easily and 2.he is moody and skittish and 3.he has only killed a few demons.Snidecious and him are very alike,even though snide doesn't want anything to do with him.Soluto Ignis literally means fire warlord in Latin thus why I named him as such.He was difficult to color since I have never colored fire digitally I even tried to search for character speedpaints similar to Soluto's design to get an idea on how to color him but nothing helped however what did help me was looking for similar character designs on google images and getting not only an idea how I colored him but inspiration too.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Here are five of the shorter animatronics, which take up the main stage! There are three sections of the stage, like the Rock-afire Explosion's original stage! The animatronics are all different animals, like usual. They even have different teeth! The first animatronic's name is Preistor, and he's the blue rabbit. He plays guitar. Then we have Elizabeth, a hot-pink cat, and she's the female singer. Then we have Altor, a yellow bear. He plays the drums. Then we've got Bruce, a green mouse, who's the male singer. Finally, we have Lexibo, a purple elephant. She plays the piano. They were created by Jester (Dellusion was created by Jester, too) for entertainment. Unlike FNaF, there are no dead kids possesing these guys. At least, none relating with Jester and his crew. Actually, they're vessels for lost spirits! They've been specifically engineered for lost souls to posses them. However, in the day, they act wonderfully for entertainment. Don't be frightened by the absence of eyes! They're always watching with those little cameras in their mouths. These guys, including Jester and Dellusion, were inspired by the funtime animatronics from FNaF SL. Drawn with FireAlpaca. I finally drew Prince Fendren's ectoplasmic yet wicked companion,Snideacious.last time I drew him was last year and I didn't name him at all but he was still my OC.He is a low ranking phantom demon who's only purpose is to possess,kill and destroy.due to this,the rest of his kind has been wiped out entirely,making him the only possessor demon in hell,he travels throughout locations in hell.he was almost killed by many demons he tried to take control of.Fedren and him have a mutual relationship,Fedren had no desire to kill him considering snides weakness is magick he can be controlled but not mind controlled (no brain)Snide hates Fedren,often insulting him and even enjoying seeing him in pain when he is fighting a foe.Snide has possessed Fedren before,which was not only agonizing to Fedren but embarassing (being half naked inside the kingdom) since then he only posesses him for a good reason,they both go on adventures (although dangerous) in hell together,meeting new demons(usually evil) and discovering realms.(ignore my terrible handwriting)
Often times my work is more about a conversation with my anxieties. I have a deep, conflicting relationship with concepts of existentialism. The following works reflect abstract ideas that I simply don’t have words for.
I want to be inside the raindrop. I want know it. Feel it. Be it. Close containment. Single purpose One direction. The rush. The thrill. Careening towards the earth. Would be a death race. But the fall is the journey. The crash. The release. Is just the beginning.
