HB graphite pencil starting the shading and definition

im working from a small photocopy of an old picture. still need to work on eyes and shading. hair will be epic.

yo this account has been inactive for soooo long. ive also improved so much art wise lmao. ive started to watch craig of the creek again, and ofc i had to draw someone. (and yes I do know that the left hand is not right ._.) im not sure if im gonna go inactive again after this :/

I played with some different rendering techniques in my digital lineart/with some diagonal shading in the shadows in addition to my usual cell shading. I used the same colour as the hair /skin/ clothing in for my lineart on a 'multiply' layer then duplicated that layer and added a blur/reduced the opacity for its copy to soften the look of the lines.

This is my first time sketching a wolf. I saw some pictures online like this, so I decided to make my own version of it. Hope you like it

Explored texture for shading in this line art. It gives an interesting look. I like my meteor bonking the moon.

Situational awareness is important these days. Pre-pandemic, I sometimes take my doodles to coffee shops during my lunch breaks and relax for half an hour or so by mindlessly scribbling/shading with my Bic pen. People usually leave me alone but this drawing made me realise that not everyone wants to see a man drawing a naked man. A few people took exception to my subjects’ lack of clothing and made their displeasure known by telling me. Suffice to say, I try not to go into coffee shops anymore while working on subject matter that might offend anyone. Bic4 Ballpoint Pen on 9” x 12” Archival paper. Model: Malik_E

Shading Exercise - boxes with three value scale

I did not use a reference :/ so yeah that's kind of a problem but it's ok... I used HB for the sketch, 2B for shading, and 4B for the eyebrows and eyelashes. I just noticed that I forgot to put a reflection of the lashes on the eyes...

I’m bad at hair yet I chose to attempt curls..oh the irony. What are your thoughts or critique? My main focus was shading and eyes, but feel free to leave your thoughts on this as a whole

Some more practice with crosshatch shading and the proportions are a bit off. I also somehow made the left side of the bottle fat and it drives me nuts. ヘ（。□°）ヘ Other than that I think it came out ok.

It was so meditative doing the shading and blending for this one.

I found this drawing online of something like this. I traced most of it but some was cut off so I made up what was happening. Colored and shaded myself... I am gonna do fanart soon I promise.
