The castle livingroom

"My possibly late husband never learned to appreciate modesty and humbleness, im afraid." Being married to a pirate in the kings service comes with a lot of material perks, but makes it difficult to host a fine ladies party. im just glad to have finnished, i sat for three days painting patterns.

After

A pencil and watercolour study, inspired by Scott Christian Sava's "60 days of studying the masters" on Youtube. This was intimidating from start to finish, by far the most complex drawing I've ever done! It took me almost a week to get the drawing right, but the painting was done in a day. In between were many days of feeling overwhelmed, lost, and then afraid of messing it up. But I got there in the end and I think I pushed myself to a new skill and confidence level. Good thing too, I've got 58 more studies to do!

Figurine

The form of Martial Arts introduced by Bruce Lee embraces `being formless’ as a central idea. Sharing this belief, my works do not start with an intention of what to make, but rather the process is to follow-through to what the works wish to become. In Jeet Kun To, the practice is to `be water’, to react and to blend. Instead of following the artist’s desire to direct the brush, I enhance, without an intention to change or render. The composition dropped from elsewhere as a message and is polished to shine.

Blue House

I designed this house. It has a really pretty blue exterior, and it has a slight curve to it that gives it a more warm and inviting feel. I like how the walkway kind of curves into the stairs and transitions back into the walkway before arriving at the front door. I like that there’s plenty of yard space with some really nice landscaping. The birds can even come and get a birdbath. I thought that was really cute. I used the multicolored stones to add detail for a more distinguished look. The hedges are neatly cut in a square and follows along side of the house. Looking through those gorgeous windows you can see the house is fully furnished. There are some really pretty chandeliers in there that adds character. There’s a stairway that leads to another level of the house as well. I love how there’s a touch of yellow that highlights the points on the rooftop. Furthermore, the swing in the backyard adds an inviting feel to the scenery. Also, it’s a nice place to sit and enjoy the view.

Bumblebee

Flight of the bumblebee The lifecycle begins in spring, when rising temperatures awaken a queen bumblebee that has been hibernating alone in the soil. The queen will have spent the entire winter underground, using up reserves of energy stored as fat in her body. When she first emerges, she feeds on flowers, drinking nectar to gain energy. She will then begin to search for a suitable nest site. Frequent nesting sites include holes in the ground, tussocky grass, bird boxes and under garden sheds.

A Family of Trees. Whimsical illustration - Day 16.

I changed the composition, types of silhouettes, and background texture a few times. I didn't have any expectations about the finished work. It was a creative flow with many changes. I think the creative process looks like this. Don't be afraid to try. If you make your art digitally, it's simple. You can: - create a new layer, - use shortcut Ctrl+Z. In traditional art, it depends on the art supplies you use. Sometimes you can try more times. Sometimes you need to start again. But any attempt is better than giving up.

Child of the Forest

This is the second painting of my dragon series, and it was actually the moment at which I decided to make it a series. It was at the beginning of this year when I was trying to decide on a topic for a series to exhibit. I had gone through quite a few subject matters and even started researching on one of them, when I got really mad at a relative's attitude and just felt the need to paint a dragon. And with a second finished dragon piece in hand, I said: "This is it. I'm gonna make a series on dragons."

God Provides

God Provides Mural: acrylic paint on Stretched canvas. Size: H 30 “x 40” w 1” D In this mural I seek to illustrate How God through Jesus provide for the spiritual needs of humans. The first century fishing boat with its nets stretch out to dry on the shore, Jesus calls us to leave our old live behind and join Him on a new adventure. Just as he calls his disciples to leave their lives of fishing and join Him in bring people back to God. The illustration of a boy lunch in a desolate place, we are reminded that God know our physical as well spiritual needs. If we seek to put him first in our lives, He will take care of the rest. Jesus and Peter walking on the rage ocean, God call us to weather many great storms, to be able to participate in rescuing of the spiritually drawing. We always need to be reminded to keep our eye on Christ unless we become filled with fear and we become overwhelmed by our hostel environment and being to sink. Jesus on the cross, God knowing no sin, sent His son to be a sacrifice, the innocent trading place with a vile criminal to face a horrible death on the cross. We can all identify with Barabbas, for because of our sinful words and deeds, we ourselves are criminals before a Holy God. If we identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection from the dead, for the payment of our transgression. This is the only way to be forgiven and washed clean of our sinful past. We have been given the holy spirit to enable us to turn from sin and walk in the newness of life through His word and spirit. The rock with ALPA and OMEGA and Irish flower carved in it: represent Our eternal God who existed in the eternal past and will exist in the enteral future. The rock with dove facing down, represent the coming of Holy Spirit who Jesus sent, after He went back to Heaven. He came to teach us all truth about spiritual things, about God, to give us understand of His words, and to strength our bodies, minds, spirits to enable us to do the will of God. The rock with fish symbol: Represents the sign first century Christian would draw on the ground to test a person to find out if they were a true follower of Christ or if they were a spy, trying to expose were the Christians met for church. So, the Roman could arrest and kill Christians. How the test was administered: The initiator would drawl half the body of the fish in the grown, then the person being evaluated, if they were a Christian would know to draw the second half of the fish. I have been attempting for some time to accomplish the 100 heads challenge, its been a slow process but my goal is 4 poses from 25 characters from some of my favorite movies and t.v. Series. Ive enjoyed this project so far and have noticed its pushed me to work on some much needed improvement on drawing heads in general.
